Annie has been called lazy, indifferent, beta dog, and uninterested in anything but food and chasing Cody. On the afternoon exercise run for the dogs, Chuck always stops and spends 15 to 20 minutes throwing the boomer for them....or I should say Cody because Annie merely watches and has never retrieved anything. After numerous throws by Chuck, Paige wanted to throw the boomer, but because Cody is so super involved in the retrieval, we were afraid for her to throw. So.....we decided to hold Cody back and instruct Annie to retrieve. Paige threw the boomer 6 or 7 feet and Annie walked over and brought it back to her. She threw again, and again Annie brought it back to her. Miracle of Miracles...even in the dog world some females take their place behind the male. However, remove the male and the female shines. Go Annie! Go Paige!

ReplyDeleteI love these pictures. I would love to have seen Paige and Annie. Don't think Annie is taking the back seat. She might just be tolerating that big yellow show off. Or not! Karen and Paige take really terrific pictures. You got your dream.
