Fall in the Wasatch Mountains is absolutely amazing. Leaving SLC and driving Hwy 80 east toward Park City, one is stunned by the colorful vistas on all sides. The mountains are covered with every shade of yellow, red, and orange. The change of colors happens when the weather turns cooler. One morning you wake up and the hillsides have been transformed. These colors last for about two weeks and then as quickly as they came, the colors fade
and within a short period of time, the leaves have fallen and the mountains are brown.

  1. I wish I was there for the Fall color. About every 5-7 years we get a cool enough Fall to produce some color. Don't think we are going to make it this year....
