Karen, Roy, and Paige moved to San Antonio, Texas a month ago for Roy to begin his training to become a Physician's Assistant at Fort Sam Houston. I always like to visualize my children in their daily surroundings, so I traveled to this beautiful city to have a look for myself. Karen and her family have a lovely townhouse in Alamo Heights less than five minutes from Fort Sam Houston.
After a brief tour of the city, Karen, Paige and I drove to Austin and on to Lampasas where we spent the next six days with Judy at her beautiful country home. Paige loved the open spaces, watching humming birds sip sweet water, Cardinals eating seeds at the bird feeders, and dove bathing in the birdbath.
She splashed in the kiddie pool and played in the circular sandbox. Deer were everywhere.
We returned to San Antonio on Saturday and I traveled home on Sunday. It was wonderful to visit with Karen and her family and to visit with my sister Judy.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great week! I was very grateful to have had the opportunity to spend the time with Karen and Paige and get to know them on a more personal level-- memories that I cherish. Lets do it again with each of the Ellis children!
