HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNY Today is Jenny's Birthdaty and certainly a time to celebrate. Though, I am not sure why. Life is funny! Mothers carry babies for nine months, deliver them under unpleasant conditions, and nourish them throughout the night and day. They bathe them, clothe them, rock them, feed them, play with them and teach them. They comfort them when they are hurt and when they are sad. They shuttle them to piano, dance, school, soccer, baseball, and t-ball. They keep them from harm and teach them right from wrong....and yet when their annual day of delivery comes around, it is the child who is celebrated. Life seems to be turned around. Children, I think, should be celebrating their mothers. Odd, but Mothers, I am sure are the ones who celebrated their children in the first place. They planned the party, shopped for the gift, baked the cake, cooked the dinner, and were the ones who lite the candles and sang the loudest. Mothers, forever the givers, forever the nurturers and forever the lovers. Jennifer is just such a mother. And, we love her for loving our grandchildren and loving our son. We love her because she is beautiful, and smart, and talented, and kind. Happy Birthday Jenny!!!! |
