On Wednesday evening two of the roses had drooping heads. I cut the stems one inch more and put them into tepid water overnight. Thursday morning they were revived and looked beautiful.
Later on Valentine's Day these five had drooping heads and were limp. I immediately cut the stems and placed in warm water. Within several hours they looked as they do above.
Getting the most out of cut flowers from the florist takes vigilance and a desire to have your bouquet last as long as possible. I believe I can keep these roses looking beautiful for at least 7 days. Clean water and a fresh cut every couple of days will keep them looking their best. Yes, it is a pain, but the rewards are well worth the effort.
Chuck purchased these roses from Costco Online. The tall glass vase wrapped with red satin ribbon arrived with the roses. We love Costco!
