The highlight of the day was an evening bike ride after dinner. Steven led the pack of 14 riders and took us on well maintained trails through the woods and along the lake...up hill and down hill. Poppy was the oldest and 4 year old Blake on his tiny bike with tiny wheels was the youngest. Blake never lagged behind. Steven had his back on the uphills and he loved the coast on the down. We went everywhere on our bikes...to the showers after dark, to the beach during the day and various kids off to explore with their cousins at any time.

Two families traveled to Boise where we rented travel trailers and pulled them 2 1/2 hours north of Boise to McCall. Having a warm bed each night, a bathroom, air conditioning in the heat of the day and heating at night made our stay extremely comfortable. The children swam, biked, played golf, beaded braclets and necklaces, played games and gathered pinecones. The campfire burned morning and night and sa'mores and banana boats were enjoyed in the evening. Alyson provided yummy snacks at lunch and during the day.
Next year we have high hopes that others in our family will join us for what we hope will be an annual family camping trip. Thank you Alisa and Joey for planning this successful event.
Looks like so much fun! We hope to join the festivities next year. :)
