Happy Birthday Paige
Today you are Five Years Old 

Paige is in Pre School in San Antonio, Texas
She has many friends who helped her celebrate her Birthday
Some of them go to her School  

She loves her Parents
They are always near to keep her Safe
And to help her when she needs Help
They love her, Too! 

Her Daddy thinks that she is the most beautiful little girl he Knows 

....and so does her Mom! 

Paige is learning to Read
She knows a lot about animals and Insects
She especially likes lady bugs and Butterflies
She has learned to write and often writes her own
Thank you Notes! 

Paige is a happy little girl with a great sense of Humor
She is funny and Fun to be Around
Paige enjoys swimming and Playing Soccer
She plays on a Soccer Team and always gives her best Effort
Paige takes ballet lessons and will be in a recital in May
I will be in San Antonio to watch her Perform

Indoor Soccer .......Gladiators 10--1

Summer plays forward for the Gladiators 

She played indoor soccer this Winter 

She scored two goals and had two Assist
last Night

Summer plays with great Intensity
and everyone is happy when she Scores 

She has a powerful Kick 

We love this Girl!

Visiting with family members is always a Bonus

PARKER ........TENNIS TEAM ALTA HIGH SCHOOL

Parker is on the tennis team at Alta High School
Sandy, Utah 

 

Chuck and I came into SLC on Tuesday to watch one of Parker's tennis matches.  This is a new sport for Parker, but being the athlete that he is, he is improving his skills rapidly.  Chuck gave him a few pointers.  

Chuck's father, the first Charles Ellis, coached the tennis team in the 30s and 40s at Los Angeles City Junior College where he also taught psychology and philosophy.  His team won the 

Southern California Junior College Tennis Team Championship in 1939 and in 1940.

None of our children have played tennis competitively, but all play well enough not to embarrass themselves if called upon to play.  This is one of those lifetime sports that I highly encourage.

 

SPRING BREAK....SKIING AND ON SAFARI

Spring Break
Charles, Jenny and Children visited us over their Spring Break. The activity for the week was skiing, skiing and more Skiing!
Family Skiing is not for the faint of heart.  Charles wears a backpack which by midmorning is filled with discarded goggles, gloves, heavy coats, socks, kleenex, lip balm, sunblock, cell phones, etc, etc, etc.
Keeping track of 5 pair of skis, 5 pair of ski boots, 5 pair of after ski books, 5 pair of poles and 5 helmets requires a lot of parental patience.
Jenny and Charles are masters of Family Skiing   

Taking a little break for some R&R

Everyone looks forward to lunch and mapping out the runs for the afternoon. Jack was able to ski every run with his family.....4 years old.

Skyler and Charlie took an all day lesson to learn to parallel ski.           They both improved tremendously. 

Spring skiing does not require heavy Clothiing
A short sleeved t-shirt and this jacket provide plently of Protection

Chuck and I skied one day with this family and were amazed at the children's skiing Ability

Reminded us of long ago days skiing with our own Family
No lessons for our children.....our older children taught and practiced with the younger Ones
We are big supporters of family skiing.  What other sport can every member of the family participate in Together?
