Things are greening up around here and I am on the Move
Over the last month, we have moved the greenhouse, terraced the slope to the rear of the back yard, and had a new fence built.
Moved the greenhouse to the side of the garage. Much more convenient....
Keeps plants from freezing and being whipped by the wind.
Tulips, pansies, celantro, and dill.....
Two David Austin roses waiting for warmer weather...
James Galway....it's a climber to be trained across our new metal arch. That is miniature boxwood and snowballs in the foreground.
Fenced garden...three raised planter boxes for SFG
Have 7 blackberry plants to be trained over one side....two crabapple trees for two corners and two Honey Crisp apple trees for the other two corners
Have two BYU students coming on Friday to stain the fence....putting gravel in the open areas and top soil and mulch for the beds around the perimeter.
Love this little garden area....training David Austin's Fighting Temeraire roses along the back fence and Lady Emma Hamilton rose as a scrub below.
Red Knockout roses and red carpet roses in these beds....needs more thought and work....
Fuji apple tree...fed last fall, so I have high hopes. Had many apples last year, but none make it to maturity. I need to be more consistent about water. Center to the left are 10 peony plants....two seasons of Fabulous blooms....this year should be even better.
New arch....haven't decided its exact location.
Chuck made these six SFG boxes. I am super successful with these boxes.....less water, weeds, and fertilizer. Planting strawberries in box in the playyard, three in the fenced garden....romaine lettuce, crookneck squash, cucumbers, potatoes...Yukon gold and Dakota red, green beans, and peppers, all intersperced with marigolds. Down below ..... herbs.. celantro, green onions, flat leaf parsley, dill, and basil......More lettuce, peppers, and radishes.
I now plant only what we will eat!

Crabapple Trees....end of the daffodils....iris and lavender will be in full bloom in June
